"King Of The Hills" (KOTH for short) is IE's annual collaborative event organised for the freshers of NITK.
Each IE SIG presents a series of tasks and challenges. Participating teams play their way through each challenge set up by the SIGs at each 'hill' to win amazing goodies and become the 'King of the Hills'.

RTFM (Read the F#cking Manual)
This is an event conducted by IE Code under the flagship event Enigma. Here, first years gather to test their wits in a series of technical Computer Science events. Participants are given a manual with the help of which they have to solve a series of tasks.
A Garage specialty where students become Sherlocks and Dr. Watsons and try to solve mysteries using their forensic skills. Sessions are held to help them enhance their knowledge.
Gadget's flagship event with an Avengers theme where the teams solve and build circuits to emerge victorious. A three day event which includes a workshop. The final face off involves building a circuit from knowledge gained during the workshop and winning by collecting all the infinity stones.
The Three Marketeers
A 3 tier event for freshers to step out of the box of the usual marketing promotional strategies. The participants were judged on the basis of creativity, pressure handling and communication skills and the efficacy of additional strategies involved.
Entziffern was Script's first event under Enigma themed on UK Spies going through a series of tests where they had to prove themselves efficient enough to infiltrate Germany. Contestants had to face challenges like cracking ciphers, a World War Two version of Psych! and a preliminary trivia quiz titled Furi.
KOTH (King of the Hills)
IE's collaborative SIG event, where first years battle their way through the challenges set by each of our SIGs at each 'hill' to finally become 'The King'. It's a series of tech-based problems, games, obstacles and puzzles.
IE Spark is NITK's own TED talk series, where we invite people mostly from our own college to come up and give talks on their areas of interest. Conducted only once or twice a year, due to its strict quality standards, IE Spark is IE's flagship non-technical event.
Under our social initiative, Vriddhi, we organise regular trips to nearby care homes and orphanages to contribute our part to the less privileged. All the club members come together and spend a day with the students, teaching and playing with them.
One cannot neglect the value of conversations and talks. To carry forward this idea, we started a webinar series reflecting our motive 'Samwad' on upcoming technologies by our very own NITK alumni in core engineering fields.
The Story Emporium
The Story Emporium was an event which encouraged every participant to lend a book of their choice in exchange for another book that they would chose blindly. We collected the books from the participants beforehand and wrapped all the books and wrote the first line of the book on the cover. Participants had to choose by reading it's first line only.
